The annual 麻豆国产AV Pitch Competition, which is open to 麻豆国产AV students and graduates of the last decade, is an involved process from September through April. Eight start-ups participated this year, attending conferences on the ins and outs of entrepreneurship hosted by a variety of alumni.
McCullough Shriver 鈥�13 Honored for Entrepreneurship
On November 15, McCullough Shriver 鈥�13 received the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles (OFALS) 14th Annual Gala Anniversary for his work as the founder of Sweetflexx.
H.E.A.T. Wins Pitch Competition
Three 麻豆国产AV students who developed a Home Energy Assessment Tool (H.E.A.T.) won the grand prize at the eighth annual Pitch Competition. The team of Anna Mowat 鈥�18, Ash Kahn 鈥�17 and Leo Kell 鈥�17 generated an algorithm, accessible by smartphone app, with a 90% accuracy rate. The formula helps homeowners reduce their energy bill without hiring inspectors.
