Shuttles occur ONLY during the listed dates & times. Shuttle time slots with no registered capacity will not run. Pre-registration with a confirmed registration is required.

Reservations

Reservation sign-ups will be made available one month prior to break. A form will be emailed to the entire student body with a link to register for a seat.

Cost

The cost of the shuttle or bus services will be billed directly to the student’s tuition bill.
Rates below are based on one-way transportation:*
  • Albany Airport (travel time 2 hours): $100.00
  • Syracuse Airport (travel time 1 hour): $75.00
  • Utica Train/Bus Station (travel time 1/2 hour): $20.00
  • New York City, New Jersey and Boston Bus: $100.00
  • +$25 walk-on fee (students taking an open available seat who have not previously registered) 
Cancellation / No-Show Policy

Cancellations must be submitted via email to AT LEAST 48 hours in advance. Any cancellations made within 48 hours, or not submitted via email to transport@hamilton.edu will be fully charged for the requested trip.


 

New York City Bus
New York City (NYC) buses will leave from the Kirner-Johnson Circle at the scheduled times. The NYC buses first stop at the Vince Lombardi Rest Area(4 hours from campus). The buses will then proceed to Bryant Park (42nd Street between 5th and 6th Streets), approximately 30 minutes from VL Rest Area. The buses leave Bryant Park at the scheduled times, then proceed to VL Rest Area, then to campus. 
Boston Bus
Boston Buses also leave from the Kirner-Johnson Circle at the scheduled times. The first stop is McDonald’s in Chicopee, Mass. (350 Burnett Rd off exit 51 on the Mass Turnpike). The final drop-off location is the New England Aquarium, 1 Central Wharf, Boston. The approximate time of travel is 3 hours to Chicopee, then an additional 1 hour 45 minutes to Boston.
 
It is not the responsibility of the transportation department to communicate the live location of the buses. As traffic and weather conditions are unpredictable, the shuttle and bus times are estimated. Communication of delays is the obligation of the rider.
 

Alternatives 

Public bus transportation is also available from the Utica Train/Bus Station to the Syracuse and Albany airports. For more information, go to:
